In responders, annualized rates of clinically significant exacerbations were reduced by 60% (0.73 vs 1.84, P < 0.0001 vs placebo), severe exacerbations by 76% (0.24 vs 1.00, P < 0.0001 vs placebo) and total emergency visits by 76% (0.18 vs 0.77, P < 0.0001 vs placebo) (Novartis, data on file).
